My graduation

Mar 23, 2011

Hello all! Sorry for the long long silence. I have so much to tell but time is not on my side. So many things to do and yet so little time. It's crazy because though I am pretty much finished with my research, I still come to lab every day. And kemas-mengemas will have to be done way after the office hours. We have finally finished loading all our stuff to the shipping container yesterday. I have to thank all the helpful Malaysian friends who helped with our moving. Thanks a lot guys!

Anyway...back to the main topic. Yup, TODAY WAS MY GRADUATION DAY!
Yes, it is one of the highlights in my life. It is very meaningful because this time around, I celebrated with the presence of my dear hubby and son, Sya.

A must take...pictures under sakura trees

Outside the hall...

What can I say? Victory is indeed sweet. All the hard work paid off. So to my dear friends who are still struggling, just hang in there. When the time comes, despite the uncertainty, despite the toughness, despite the tears, despite the humiliation you had been getting... you will find that what would remain in your mind and heart surprisingly, are all...beautiful memories. Yes, believe me, it was all worthwhile. Ganbatte!

Japan big earthquake

Mar 12, 2011

While I was busy with packing stuff to meet the deadline next week, Japan was hit by the biggest earthquake in more than 100 years. The tsunami that followed 10~20 minutes after that contributed to more casualties and damage.

As I was watching the news this morning, my heart sank deeper looking at the damages along the coastline. Though we are included in the tsunami high alert area, Alhamdulillah, we are all fine so far. Thank you to all my friends' doa and prayers...my family and I, as far as I know the Malaysians in my area are all good.

I have experienced the Kobe earthquake in 1995, this time is even bigger. It affects huge area. The TV reporters are usually cool while reporting but we can feel that they are shaking and trembling while reporting live in the affected area. They must have been overwhelmed...
We have important stuffs like passport, food and drinks prepared just in case we need to evacuate.

Hopefully everything will be fine. Insyaallah. I will keep you updated. Thank you all!
