My graduation

Mar 23, 2011

Hello all! Sorry for the long long silence. I have so much to tell but time is not on my side. So many things to do and yet so little time. It's crazy because though I am pretty much finished with my research, I still come to lab every day. And kemas-mengemas will have to be done way after the office hours. We have finally finished loading all our stuff to the shipping container yesterday. I have to thank all the helpful Malaysian friends who helped with our moving. Thanks a lot guys!

Anyway...back to the main topic. Yup, TODAY WAS MY GRADUATION DAY!
Yes, it is one of the highlights in my life. It is very meaningful because this time around, I celebrated with the presence of my dear hubby and son, Sya.

A must take...pictures under sakura trees

With a Japanese friend who's doing Immunology too...

Outside the hall...

What can I say? Victory is indeed sweet. All the hard work paid off. So to my dear friends who are still struggling, just hang in there. When the time comes, despite the uncertainty, despite the toughness, despite the tears, despite the humiliation you had been getting... you will find that what would remain in your mind and heart surprisingly, are all...beautiful memories. Yes, believe me, it was all worthwhile. Ganbatte!

Dear Sofea,
Thank you so much! Yeah, it was special this time. I hope Sya will be inspired with what he saw that day. It seems to him, PhD is an easy task because his mama and papa both got it. "I want PhD too", he said! How now? Aiyoo...

Sorry for the long silence. I am busy 'hibernating' in Malaysia :)
Wah, meriahnya the graduation ceremony. (Unlike the one I had in Hirodai).
BTW selamat ber'packing' and selamat pulang ke tanahair :)

Dear TK,
Thank you dear.I am now back in Malaysia.
We have had nasi lemak every morning. Nasi beriani, nasi kandar sudah makan. Sate, McD, Kentucky pun dah. And today, makan durian musang king! Sedap tapi mahal giler! hehehe...
We are waiting for unpacking all our stuff. Our parcels should be arriving soon. And it will be another endless procedure. :(

Dear Cheqna,
Thank you so much! Our journey was uneventful. Alhamdulillah. We are now busy trying to settle down with the life in Malaysia. It will take some time for Sya to get used to hot and humid weather. Otherwise, I think I have gained at least 2 kg from the food feast here. Hahaha...:)

Dear Maz,
I am glad you are back to Malaysia. It is definitely safer here. The graduation memang meriah this time. I masa undergrad tak semeriah ni pun. Hehe...at least I had a try with the Jubah this time. When I was undergrad, I pakai Hakama (A type of Japanese kimono). You take care there! We shall meet some time. Now that we are so near...:)

Dear iamsterdam,
How are you? Sorry for the long silence. Now we are trying to settle down in Malaysia. Nak laporkan diri ke jabatan masing2, nak cari rumah, nak cari sekolah for sya...so many things that need to me done! But we are glad that we are back here in Malaysia. It's home sweet home no matter what! :)
