The story of Heather and Shirokuroneko-chan

Dec 13, 2010

Heather and Shirokuroneko-chan are a couple. They go everywhere together. They play together, they sleep together and they eat together. We first met this pair of cats about a month ago. Since then, we have been checking on them twice a week. We are not too worried about their meals because we know someone has been constantly feeding them. Not just this two, but all the cats in this entire hill. The last time we checked, they were more than ten cats there.
Anyway, we are very much in love with these two cats. They are just so adorable. Below are a few selected photos of these lovely cats taken for the past one month. Don't you find them adorable too?

Side by side...all the time...How romantic!

Heather is always the quiet and elegant type...

Shirokuroneko-chan (SKN-chan) is always the playful type...

Sya wanted to teach SKN-chan shake hand trick. SKN-chan was puzzled at first...

SKN-chan: 'Did you mean this? Hello kid...where are you?'

Heather likes to do what a girl likes to do, sniffing flowers....

Sniffing grass?

Heather and her beautiful posture...

She can be playful too...

After tired of playing, this is what they do. Getting a good cuddle from us...

That looks tempting...can I have some too?

Sya learning how to handle cats...

We love to climb trees...

We are good climbers...

We are good runners...

We like to play kejar-kejar...

I love to jump! See how high I can jump?

But I have to admit I love cuddling this lady...she just loves me! But then again, nobody can resist my charm...hihihi

Heather with her 'I am a lady' pose...

SKN-chan, after his big meal...

After meal, it's playing time again...

See...I can climb so high...

Introducing our drinking pond...we get fresh flowing water every day...

I will be the boss of the hill soon...

Huh?

Who's that?

We've got company!

Though I love climbing...

I have to admit that my landing can be quite rough sometimes...

But that doesn't stop us from climbing...

Because trees are our favorite spots to play...

Hey...wait for me Heather! You look sexy even looking from the back...*wink*

I need my beauty sleep...

Shhh...it's our afternoon nap time...

Oh...this place is beautiful...

SKN-chan looks so handsome in this pic...

You two are beautiful together...

But Heather is still the beauty queen no matter what. You are a natural!

Aunty Nana,
Aren't you taking them home? Give them a furrrever home, they'll adore you for life. Anyway, it's very rare to see very "manja" strays. And very clean too.... purrrr....meow!

Hi Cat-in-Sydney!
We would love to take them home! I know, they would be great partners. But my apartment's landlord don't allow pets. We have to abide to the rules. :(
But we sincerely hope we can bring these cats home to Malaysia! If no one adopt them before we do, we are thinking of taking them home :)

Hi Nana, fantastic pics. Love the pic. They gorgeous. And wild too.
We too have these cats, but they are real wild, live in the bush and they don't take kindly to people. Nobody feeds them, they hunt themselves.

Pity my wife allergic to cat fur or I'll have 2. A Siamese and a Persian.
And name them 'Gin' and 'Vodka, ha ha.
My dogs were named, 'Brandy', and 'Whisky'.

You sure take great pics.....but I wonder how come nobody took them home? Why not you? Or they have to be left that way?
And who gave them those nice names? You? Ha ha.
Have fun, and keep well. Lee.

Cantiknya all those photos. They are so adorable and very clean!!Suka tengok!!
I jenis suka kutip kucing sesat dari kecik lagi.
Our cats live with my mother in law who also loves cats so much!

Hi Lee!
Somehow I feel these cats are so happy in that environment. They are good hunters too. There are rabbits and birds for them to catch. They don't seem to be hungry all the time. We can even eat in front of them without them hovering around for food.
Yeah, we would love to adopt and take them home. But in our case, we have limitation. Our apartment doesn't allow pets. One big problem in Japan is space. Most of the Japanese live in apartments. No matter how much they love pets, unless they have their own house, it is impossible to have pets. So, we are praying that these cats would survive the winter ( winter in Tokushima seldom go below 0). We are going back to Malaysia in April for good, hopefully. And we are planning to take the cats home. It's possible cause I have done that once, during my undergrad study. And that cat, at 12 years old is still alive and kicking in Malaysia, staying with my parents!

Hi TK! Thanks for the compliment. I setuju, kucing2 ni comel sangat. Kucing ni kalau kat Malaysia lama dah kena adopt ni. Memang geram tengok diaorang.
I rasa kat Malaysia, lebih ramai yang suka kucing. Kat Jepun ni, mereka lebih suka bela anjing. :)

Nana,

I suka cerita you ni and photos yang cantik..cutenya kuching2 tu, who owns them?

Mulanya I thot u nak cerita pasal kartun Shin Chan(?)..then about an elderly couple, until I reached part "pair of cats"..hehehe.

Hi Cheqna!
Nobody owns them. They live on the hill. Memang cute betul kucing2 tu! It was fun looking at them running around/climbing trees. And they are so manja with us. They are just our type of cats. If someone would want to adopt them, we are happy because they will at least be guaranteed a warm home. But if not, we're thinking of ways to take them home. Back to Malaysia. We'll see how it goes...:)

Btw, does shirokuroneko-chan has any meaning? It's so longgg.... :D

Hi I amsterdam!
I double checked. No previous comment of yours seen! Google must have had some technical problem there.
Thanks for your compliment. They are indeed very adorable. Ohh...about the name, Sya gave them! I don't know why Heather but somehow it really suits her. But that shirokuroneko-chan...yup I agree it's too long! It literally means, white and black cat...just as it is! Tak thrill langsung!

Ohhh white and black cat.... hmmm... kalau auntie la Sya, auntie panggil "Pong" - short for Tampung he..he.. my mother's name for her cats (dead or alive)- merah, pong, belang, bu, teh, cicak(kesian kan nama ni), semuanya sebab warna bulu mereka :D

Btw, don't worry yourself about the previous comment Nana...

Have a nice weekend!!!
